According to the three objectives of Tongzhou district, we put forward the development principle of the industries which is “optimize to boost the first industry, pay equal attention to the secondary and tertiary industry, and give prominence to develop modern service industry”. It is planned to focus on developing three following industries:

1. Urban industries with the secondary and tertiary industries converging
           With city industry as the core, to accelerate the development of the secondary and tertiary industries converging; with industry zone as shoulder, to provide service and drive for increasing employment rooms for the city through the city industry development. While constructing the projects of the demonstration park of home-furniture industry/packaging printing industry, to direct development of cigarettes/home furniture & decoration/garment/food processing/packaging printing/arts & crafts/new materials industries.
2. Advanced New technology industry
           To do the best in the opto-machintronics industry, to emphases on developing electronic machine/laser processing/apparatus industries. To promote environmental industry and support the researching development & producing management of environmental equipment and products. To develop greatly on auto parts industry, by focusing on developing the related electronic/engine/transmission industries, to increase supporting power for the leading enterprise of auto parts industry. To actively foster potential fields in new medicine/bio-engineering/new materials/advanced production etc.
3. Advanced service industry
           Tongzhou will offer advanced service for the capital and the Ring Bohai Sea Economic Circle.
           -> Actively explore consumer service industry including regional trading, medical treatment, recreation, entertainment, etc.
           -> Vigorously promote productive service industry including finance, business, technology service, etc.
           -> Lead real estate industry to develop healthily. Develop diversified residential areas to meet the needs of the different consumers. Pay attention to the development of commercial-residential buildings, hotels, office buildings, etc.
4. Cultural creation industry
           Tongzhou will be developed into the biggest cultural industry base in Beijing. It will realize the perfect combination of traditional culture and modern advanced technology.
           Pay great attention to boost the new service industry such as professional exposition, publishing business, movie and television production, cultural creation, etc.
